Casting to my RC Fish one cold winter

Instructor

As an FFI Master Casting Instructor, I've been giving casting instruction, demos and presentations for twenty years. I've had the benefit of casting mentors like Steve Rajeff and Chris Korich and teaching mentors such as Macauley Lord, Jim Valle and Gordy Hill. My home is in Weston, CT.

I've successfully taught students of all ages and skill levels, from beginner to advanced. I teach techniques for salt and freshwater angling. I emphasize a good foundation, good accuracy and the ability to produce high line-speed. Beyond the basics, I specialize in flats sight fishing and technical dry-fly fishing. I also use video to help students see what they're doing and can share the video with them online.

Flats Fishing Prep

A curriculum I've given in various lengths from one hour indoors, to eight one-hour outdoor sessions. I start with the basics of carrying line, then add hauling and distance techniques. After a student can cast accurately and handle some wind, we move onto working as a team with a guide. Advanced participants cast at a radio controlled fish! Read about it The Loop.

Lessons

I give group and private lessons locally in Connecticut, USA and at other destinations by arrangement.
